Many do not realize that there is a battle going on in the spiritual realm where destinies hang in the balance between heaven and hell. There are days when it feels as if the warfare is at my doorstep and even inside the walls of my home. I have felt and seen the attacks in the physical, emotional, and spiritual areas of our lives and the main reason for the warfare is that I believe the enemy doesn’t like what they’re witnessing from my family. They are trying their best to stop what we are doing, presenting the gospel, the Good News of Jesus, to the lost and broken people around us, encourage the saints and share the hope of Jesus to all who will listen. The attacks have increased as we see the life-changing, transforming work of the Holy Spirit in those we are ministering to. Every step of obedience seems to be met with greater resistance, but it also reminds us that God is faithfully at work with us, in us, and through us. We refuse to allow fear, discouragement, or opposition to silence the message of love that Christ has entrusted to us. His faithfulness has been evident in every trial, proving again and again that His grace is more than sufficient for every battle we face. We have learned that every soul reached for Christ is worth every sacrifice, every tear, and every prayer. We know that the same God who calls us is the One who sustains us and gives us victory through His Spirit. Through our actions in obedience we have seen a few people accept Christ as Lord and Savior and begin to affect those around them for the Kingdom, and another who was a hardcore agnostic is now reading her Bible and asking questions. As a family, we minister to those who come into our home from a variety of different perspectives, from the youngest, my eight-year-old grandson, to the oldest, me, lol. We understand and pray fervently over what is written in *Ephesians 6:12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.* As we witness all that God is doing in seeing some of those we know surrender to the Lord Jesus, the Light of this world, who leads people out of the darkness, we pray fervently that many others will have the scales removed from their eyes, their mind opened to the Truth, and receive the gift of eternal life as well. We are ready and willing as a family to not only suffer whatever hardships we are called to endure in order to further the Kingdom, but also to praise God through anything that may come our way. We also believe this calling is not ours alone, but belongs to every believer who is willing to say “yes” to Jesus and faithfully follow wherever He leads. There is room in God’s family for every person who will humble themselves before Him, no matter their past, their struggles, or where their journey begins. Together, united by the Holy Spirit and anchored in the truth of God’s Word, we can stand with unwavering conviction as lights shining in a dark world until Christ returns. I reflect quite often on what is written in *Philippians 4:13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]* My prayer is simple: May God fill us all with the power of the Holy Spirit to do the work He has called us to do, without delay, for delayed obedience is still disobedience, and may we do it without compromise, boldly proclaiming the name of Jesus until every opportunity He gives us has been fulfilled. Lord, strengthen our hearts to endure every trial, every hardship, and every moment of opposition with unwavering faith, knowing that You are always with us and that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Help us to remain steadfast and faithful, never growing weary in doing good, but pressing forward with joy, courage, and love until the day we stand before You face to face. May our lives continually reflect the hope of Christ, drawing others out of darkness and into the saving light of Your grace, all for Your glory and in Jesus’ precious and powerful name we pray, and all of God’s children say, Amen.
My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
