People everywhere are getting caught up in the worldly deception and political theater going on all around us, and I have witnessed that it is causing many to forsake the truth of God’s Word. In a time when truth is often distorted, convictions are compromised, and voices compete for our attention, we must be careful not to lose sight of what God has spoken. Our hope cannot rest in political promises, worldly systems, or the assurances of man, but in the unchanging truth and sovereignty of Almighty God.

I have heard the phrases, “Things are going to get worse before they get better.” “We did not get here overnight.” “Help is on the way.” “This is a wartime effort.” To all of these I agree because I have read the end of my document of authority, The Bible, and know how the world as we know it will end. We must remember that our understanding of what is happening around us should be grounded in Scripture, not shaped solely by the fear, anger, or confusion of the world. While others may place their confidence in temporary solutions, we are called to stand firm in the eternal promises of God.

As Christians, servants of the Most High, those who know the truth of God’s Word, we ask, “What are we to do?” All we can do is warn those who have not acknowledged the Lord Jesus to “wake up”. If they do not listen, we must move on so we can warn others. Our responsibility is not to force anyone to believe, but to faithfully share the truth, pray without ceasing, and live in a manner that reflects the love and holiness of Christ. We cannot control how people respond to the message, but we can make certain that our silence is not the reason they never heard it.

There will be consequences for those who choose to do nothing as seen written in Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, he is taken away because of his corruption and sin; but I will require his blood from the watchman’s hand.

Brethren, can you honestly say to those that you love most that don’t know God, “We tried to tell you but you wouldn’t listen, we warned you but you ignored us?” We should not be concerned about who will be offended if we speak the truth, but about those who are being misled, deceived, and damned to hell if we say nothing. We really have to question not only if we believe what God said, but more importantly we must evaluate in our own hearts and minds if we are truly Christian ourselves.

Charles Spurgeon said, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”

The time is near that an angel of the Lord will say what is written in Revelation 14:7…“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” After that it will be too late.

Dear hearers, do the work that our Lord Jesus has called you to do before it’s too late. Let us be bold in proclaiming the truth, steadfast in prayer, and compassionate toward those who have yet to come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Let our words be seasoned with love, our actions reflect the character of Christ, and our lives demonstrate that the message we share is one we truly believe.

We must also remember that every person we encounter is someone who needs the opportunity to hear the Gospel, regardless of their background, past mistakes, political views, or present circumstances. Rather than approaching others with condemnation or self-righteousness, let us approach them with humble hearts, genuine concern, and the same grace that God has extended to us. The door of mercy remains open, and as long as we have breath, we have an opportunity to point others toward the One who saves.

Let us not grow weary in doing what the Lord has called us to do, even when our words seem to fall on deaf ears. There is still hope for the lost, healing for the broken, forgiveness for the repentant, and salvation through Jesus Christ for all who believe. May we be found faithful in sharing that hope, leaving no one unwarned, no one forgotten in our prayers, and no opportunity for love and truth left unused.

Closing thought: “How much do you have to hate someone to not tell them about what is about to come upon the world?”
