Having a devotion to God, an understanding of who He is and what He is capable of, can take an ordinary life and make it extraordinary. God used a shepherd boy to take down a giant with boldness. It is written in *1 Samuel 17:45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you.”* God was able to take Daniel, a man of prayer, into a lion’s den and out of it as well because Daniel was faithful and more importantly so was God. It is written in *Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God…* And God made it possible to have a simple fisherman walk on water. It is written in *Matthew 14:28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.* Peter’s steps upon the waves remind us that faith often begins where comfort and certainty end. The God of the bible was able to do great and mighty things by the hands of those who were willing to be used by Him and He is still searching today for hearts that are surrendered to Him, ready to trust Him beyond what their eyes can see. There are many people who read the scriptures, who read of the miracles and see the effects of faith, that think that it is all well and good for those in the past, but that stuff doesn’t happen in today’s world. Yet the same God who worked through David, Daniel, and Peter is working in the lives of His people every moment of every day. Even in the darkest circumstances, God remains a faithful refuge to those who seek Him with all their hearts. Our God is NOT dead! The sad thing is that many in the church have become content to simply admire the faith of those who came before us, instead of seeking to live their faith out with conviction in our own day. We must earnestly cry out to God to awaken our hearts, our families, our churches, and our communities for His glory. The purpose of our lives is not merely to exist, but to know Christ, make Him known, and faithfully serve Him until He comes. My personal conviction is from Charles Spurgeon, “If we want revivals, we must revive our reverence for the Word of God. If we want conversions, we must put more of God’s Word into our sermons; even if we paraphrase it into our own words, it must still be his Word upon which we place our reliance, for the only power which will bless men lies in that. It is God’s Word that saves souls not our comment upon it, however correct that comment may be.” May we encourage one another in this pursuit, recognizing that every believer has a part to play in God’s great work. Let us walk together with passion, humility, and expectation, believing that the Lord can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. May our lives be united in faith and love for Christ, shine as a testimony of His grace to a world that desperately needs Him. And in living our lives to glorify God no matter what we go through, we will have an extraordinary life! Brethren, may WE be a generation of people that stirs up a revival, with the boldness of David, the faithfulness of Daniel, the confidence of Peter, to the glory of the Lord Jesus. I plead with all who read these words that struggle with significance as I do. We must not be content to merely read about the works of God in past generations while neglecting to seek Him for what He desires to do in and through our lives today. Let us earnestly surrender ourselves afresh to Christ, asking Him to fill us with His Spirit, deepen our faith, and make us willing vessels for His purposes. May we never settle for a life of mere existence when Christ has called us to a life of purpose, faith, and eternal impact. For a life fully yielded to Jesus is never ordinary—it becomes Extraordinary, a living testimony of His greatness and an Extraordinary story written for His glory.

My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
