Even though today is my Birthday, I wanted to share that recently I have felt that I have been run through the ringer, physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, and more so spiritually. The trials and tribulations that I go through or help others go through can feel overwhelming at times. Even though I have been told that my joy is not seen in my outward appearance mostly because of all that is weighing me down, I want the world to know that it is definitely experienced inwardly. The Lord Jesus is the most important person in my life and I am intentional in aggrandizing my relationship with Him on a daily basis. The joy that I have comes from sharing all that the Lord Jesus has done in my life by the power of the Holy Spirit with others. I have been blessed in being able to explain the ways that He has drawn me closer to Him by His grace, mercy, and forgiveness, with people from all over the world. There have been people from different walks of life, different demographics, that I have had the honor to share the Lord with because of the dynamic impact He has made on my life. Some of those that I share with would never set their foot in a church, much less listen to the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. Some Christians feel awkward in evangelizing. A question comes to mind, “How much would I have to hate someone to not share my faith with them?” I also think, “How little do I love the Lord Jesus to not tell others about Him?” I often pray over what is written in “Matthew 10:32 “Therefore, the one who confesses and acknowledges Me before men [as Lord and Savior, affirming a state of oneness with Me], that one I will also confess and acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But the one who denies and rejects Me before men, that one I will also deny and reject before My Father who is in heaven.” The only exposure to Jesus some people may ever have is through me, and whether you like it or not, through you as well. The words of Charles Spurgeon strike me to the core of who I am in Christ, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” I do not know when the day of my death will be, but until that day, I will tell the world that they need to repent of their sins, surrender to the Lord Jesus, and then they will receive the grace and mercy that is a free gift, and I vow to do this no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Even in the midst of the fire, I choose to lift up the name of Jesus, trusting that His strength is perfected in my weakness. My heart’s deepest desire is to keep shining His light, so that every person I encounter feels the warmth of His love and the hope of redemption. My Friends, will you join me in sharing the message of the cross with your world? I also want to thank all those who have chosen to walk alongside me in my journey of faith, where together, we can turn any pain here on earth into purpose for His glory in eternity. Closing thought: My prayer on this birthday is that my life becomes a living bridge for those searching for hope, leading them straight into the arms of the Savior. “Lord please help me to never grow weary of being a vessel for Your truth, knowing that the greatest gift I can receive is the promise of eternal life. Even in my seasons of heaviness, I choose to let Your light shine through my cracks, so that others may see it is Your strength that perfects me in my weakness. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, Amen.”

My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
