Veterans Day is an official United States public holiday, observed annually on November 11th, that honors military veterans; that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. This one day we stand united to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. General Douglas MacArthur said – “The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war”. Jesus spoke of love by sacrifice as written in *John 15:13 No one has greater love [nor stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.* I read another quote that touched my heart as well, “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.” May we pray fervently for the veterans, for there are some that went through so much in service and battle that will cause them not to make it through today. And, as for the active duty, who will be veterans someday, may we pray for them also, because they are sacrificing a part of their own lives that they will never get back to keep us all safe and secure. Thank You to all who have served, are serving now, or are going to be serving our country in the future to protect it, eventually you all will all be veterans. God bless them all, and may God bless America. My BeLoved, may the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
