Relationships are difficult, challenging, even painful at times, and yet a connection that most people want to have anyways. Worldly relationships and godly relationships are completely different, or at least they should look like it. The worldly relationship is usually about self, what can “I” get from it, how can “my” needs be fulfilled. The godly relationship is about “others”, how can I help others physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The Christian walk is about helping others to be more godly and drawing them closer to the Lord Jesus. I am convicted by what is written in *Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”* and one of the most important things to remember is that the closest neighbors that we have are the ones living in our very own homes. It is not uncommon in our busy lives to get so caught up in day to day living that we lose focus on the people closest to us. One of the most important relationship principles is written in *Luke 6:31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.* Brethren, if you are not treating others the way that is proper and as unto the Lord, change. Husbands, love your wife as Christ loved the church. Wives, respect your husband as unto the Lord. Children, be obedient. Parents, example the love of the Father. I read, “To love without condition, to talk without intention, to give without reason, to care without expectation; That’s the spirit of true love.” May we all remember the words of the Lord Jesus written in *John 13:35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.* When I finally exhausted my hunger to fulfill selfish desires, God filled my heart with genuine love for others. My beloved, may all of our testimonies truly be that of unconditional, intentional, sacrificial, genuine “Love”. And always remember that Jesus loves you and I love you too! In Christ Love, douglas.
