April Fools Day is not a religious holiday, but it is a day that many in the world participate in religiously, and for some, they’re fools everyday. The way that many are living their lives in today’s world really magnifies what is written in *Psalms 14:1 The [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, There is no God…* The sad part is there are some in the gathering of the saints who are living the same as those outside of the church. Due to the stresses of what is going on all around us and having an unknown future, people that walked in the Lord are getting caught up in the ways of the world. This dangerous drift toward worldliness causes believers to prioritize worldly comfort over divine calling, echoing the foolishness mentioned in scripture. It is a subtle trap where conformity to society replaces the transformative power of the Holy Spirit that we so desperately need. The words of Paul are an important reminder as we live in the times that we do. It is written in *Ephesians 4:17 So this I say and solemnly testify in [the name of] the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the heathen (the Gentiles) do in their perverseness [in the folly, vanity, and emptiness of their souls and the futility] of their minds.* Time is short. Jesus is coming back and the bride of Christ must be ready for her Bridegroom. Charles Spurgeon wrote, “I believe that one reason why the church of God at this present moment has so little influence over the world is because the world has so much influence over the church.” Friends, pray, meditate, set your mind on the words written in *1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God.* My prayer for you, my brethren, my plea to my friends, “May the strength of our God help you endure; may the power of our God maintain you; may the hands of our God protect you; may the Spirit of our God direct you; may the love of our God go with you this day and night, and forever more. And if you are to be a fool, may you be a fool for Christ. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, Amen.

My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
