As I am getting older everyday and feeling discouraged, I have searched for nuggets to help me to endure the challenges of this life. I came across a great analogy for my hope of heaven, not where it is, but with Whom I shall be with, the author is known to God. A sick man turned to his doctor who was also a Christian, as he was leaving the room after paying a visit and said, “Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.” Very quietly the doctor said, “I don’t know.” “You don’t know?” the man said. “You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?” The doctor was holding the handle of the door, on the other side of which came a sound of scratching and whining. As he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, “Did you notice my dog? He’s never been in this room before. He didn’t know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.” “I know little of what is on the other side of death,” the doctor continued, “but I do know one thing: I know my Master is there, and that is enough. And when the door opens, I shall pass through with no fear, but with gladness.” May this story remind you that heaven is not just a place, but a joyful reunion with the Master who loves you. I am encouraged by the words of the Lord Jesus spoken in *John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and I will take you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.* I believe what the Lord said, and am willing to live my life with confident hope, fearlessly ready to go boldly from this life to the next! My heartfelt prayer is; Dear Heavenly Father, help me and all who read these words to wait with expectancy for the return of the Lord Jesus. Give us a surrendered life with a willingness to serve You, and help us to fulfill the calling that You have given to each of us, Your children, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Give those that are struggling with life the ability to endure and may we all say with a blessed hope, Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus, and may we all hold fast to the promise that the same Lord who prepared a place for us is waiting to welcome all of His children with gladness, Amen.
My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
