I heard it said, “The ministry is a lazy man’s dream, an ambitious man’s nightmare, and a godly man’s vision.” I have come to understand that ministry should never be a “got too”, it ought to be considered a “get too”. When someone is passionate about the ministry they are involved in you can hear it in their voice, you can see it in their eyes, it spills out of them, and most importantly you can feel it in their heart. The sad thing is that when a person is doing it for a job, as a hireling, you can hear it in their voice, you can see it in their eyes, it spills out of them, and most importantly you can feel it in their heart. I am encouraged by people who care so much about ministering for the Lord Jesus that it becomes who they are. That person will invest their own dime and time into the ministry and into those whom they are passionate about reaching for the kingdom. I think about the intensity for people that Paul wrote about in *Romans 9:1 I am speaking the truth in Christ. I am not lying; my conscience [enlightened and prompted] by the Holy Spirit bearing witness with me 2 That I have bitter grief and incessant anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off and banished from Christ for the sake of my brethren and instead of them, my natural kinsmen and my fellow countrymen.* I want that passion for people, for the lost and the broken of our world, for my family and friends. There is a saying, “Love what you do and you’ll never work another day in your life”. Ministry can be challenging when you walk with someone through their trauma, pain, and frustration, but ministry is also a privilege when you see the fruit of what has been planted. For those that are doing the work of the Lord, if ministry ever becomes a burden beyond bearing, quit and do something else. Unless a person is willing to serve God in the trenches, as a slave and for less esteem than other “professions,” he should never enter the ministry in the first place. Closing thoughts for those in leadership, if you make yourself the center of attention, you always make a big splash in the pool and a spectacle so that all eyes are on you, Stop It, for you have your reward on earth and will not have it in heaven. My Brethren, once you grab hold of the sacred plow, there can be no looking back.

My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog

Special Note: I want to thank those who read what I write and are encouraged to support the ministry God has entrusted to me either one time or have decided to give on a monthly basis. I am encouraged to see certain verses playing out before my eyes like what is written in *Philippians 4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.*
