Whether or not everyone would believe it, all of the answers to the world’s questions are found in scripture, the way we are to live every aspect of our lives are found in the pages of the Bible. It is written in *2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.* People talk about living a biblical life but most people’s lifestyles don’t reflect holiness because they don’t know scripture. People talk all day about being holy, but their lifestyles do not glorify God? Some of the most dedicated people in church are some of the most godless, carnal pagans that I have ever met. I have experienced that obedience brings the greatest blessing, the closeness of God. To all who have read this far my questions are simple, “Are you willing to seek God’s wisdom on how to live your life and then be obedient to it?” The answers are readily available to this question as well as others. “How do you submit your entire body to God?” Go to scripture and find the answer. “How do you submit your heart to God?” Go to scripture. “How do you submit your mind to God?” Go to scripture and find the answer. “How about your eyes, your ears, your tongue, even your hands and feet dedicated to serving God?” Go to scripture and find the answer. “Are your choices in relationships, work ethics, and clothing pleasing to God?” Go to scripture and find the answer. My beloved, have you truly searched the scriptures as a person searching for gold or precious stones to find out what pleases God and what He detest, and then decided to submit your entire life to those instructions? This is not a casual reading, but a mining operation—digging past the surface, through the dirt of daily distraction, to find the precious, refined gold of His will. I am a simple man who is far from perfect—constantly in need of the same grace I preach—but I have learned to examine my life in the light of the principles of scripture that deal with every aspect of who I am, striving to apply them, and desiring to obey them to the glory of God. It is in these scriptures that we find the ultimate treasure, which is not just knowledge, but the person of Jesus Christ. I am convicted as I write this, and I pray that whosoever reads this is convicted as well. My prayer is that we stop living on the surface of our faith; if you are feeling distant from God, I encourage you to pick up the shovel of the Word today. Dig, read, pray, and allow yourself to be changed into the reflection of the Lord Jesus. Please pray for me as I pray for all who read these words.

My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
