At the start of the second day of the new year, January 2, 2026, 8am MST – According to Worldometer there are approximately 8,267,596,257 people alive on earth. So far this year to date, there have been approximately 228,897 deaths worldwide. 10,394 people have died of hunger. 3,090 people have died of water related diseases. 45,928 communicable diseases. 1,877 flu deaths. 27,915 children under 5 have died. 165,578 babies have been murdered by abortion. 29,081 deaths by cancer. 1,397 deaths by malaria. 17,707 deaths caused by smoking. 3,801 suicides. 4,783 traffic fatalities. 1,095 mothers have died in childbirth. 5,959 Deaths caused by HIV/AIDS. 8,868 Deaths caused by alcohol. Many in the world live in fear, more so now more than any time I can remember. As Christians, we need to live differently. We must understand and embrace what is written in *James 4:14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air].* There are so many people afraid of dying that they have stopped living and have seemed to have forgotten that our lives are in God’s hands and not our own or anyone else’s. We need to share with our lost and dying world the Gospel, the Good News of the Lord Jesus before it’s too late for them. For we must all come to the knowledge of the sovereignty of God by the words written in *Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.* There are two quotes from Charles Spurgeon I would like to close with, “He who learns to die daily while he lives will find it no difficulty to breathe out his soul for the last time.” and “I would not mind if I were condemned to live fifty years more and never allowed to speak but these five words: ‘Christ died for the ungodly.” Final statistic, one out of one people die, so, what will your legacy be, that of a questionable sinner or registered saint?

My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog

I am encouraged to see certain verses playing out before my eyes like what is written in *Philippians 4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.*
