Now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is almost over, now what? Christmas is past, the smiles lessen, the decorations are starting to come down, and the joy that the words “Merry Christmas” brought begin to fade, what’s next? For the dedicated Christian, the nominal believer, or just the everyday unbeliever (pagan), we all have something in common in our lives, for most of us, we will go back to the rat-race and/or the humdrum way of living that we had leading up to the celebration of Jesus’ birth. What should believers be doing? It is time to Preach the Gospel while Jesus is still fresh in the minds of all those who will listen. There are 4 simple verses that I share to start a conversation, part of the Romans Road to Salvation. I want to say from the beginning that it is never my intention to offend, but it is also never my intent NOT to offend. It is my purpose to share the truth of scripture whether it is received well or not. It is written in *Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord…Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us…Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.* These verses are easy to remember but can be the most challenging to share with those closest to us due to fear of offense. Charles Spurgeon said, “We are not responsible to God for the souls that are saved, but we are responsible for the Gospel that is preached, and for the way in which we preach it.” The reality that we have to deal with is according to God’s word, that more people are going to go to hell than to heaven and for some it may be because of the words you say or don’t say. Brethren, we need to get serious, we cannot be complacent, time is short, Jesus is coming back sooner than later. Resurrection Celebration/Easter 2026 is on April 5th. My prayer is simple: Dear God, give all of Your children boldness to share the truth of the Gospel, the whole Truth of Your Word, and Nothing but the Truth of the Lord Jesus, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, so help us God!
