As Christians, we are not responsible for who will be saved or who will not, but we are responsible for sharing the gospel and how we share it. As I have studied the scriptures and have come to an understanding of the truth that is in them, my heart is both broken and joyous at the same time. The Bible teaches that people that we know, those that we love and care about are going to go to hell if they do not repent and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. I want you to truly think and contemplate the following verses and pray about who you know personally that fits into these categories. It is written in *1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the impure or sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor those who participate in homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], nor swindlers (extortioners and robbers) will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.* These are verses that affect me to the depths of my soul because of what is written immediately following in *1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you once [before you believed]. But you were washed clean [purified by the atoning sacrifice of Christ and made free from the guilt of sin], you were consecrated and sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior].* My calling is not to figure out all of the complexities of the Bible, for there are probably more things I don’t know than do know, but it is to bring one sinner at a time, if possible to Jesus, that is what I live for that has become my purpose. My life verse is *2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.* Brethren, it is not about getting people to come to church, it is about getting them to come to Jesus. It is not about getting people in the pews at church, it is about getting the people in the pews to repent. It’s not that the churches are full of empty pews, but that the pews are filled with people empty of the Spirit of God. Speak Truth, Speak it Loud, and Speak it Often. I would rather have someone be offended and mad at me for a while and end up in heaven, than to let them live in peace and have them end up in hell for all eternity. And when you come across those that will not listen and repent, move on to those who will. Time is short, Jesus is coming back, may those who are prideful and arrogant understand that if they do not get right it will not end up well. My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
