Throughout my life I have received many gifts. Christmas gifts. Birthday gifts. Anniversary gifts. Gifts from friends and family, from my husband and my children. Gifts that touched my heart. However, on Saturday (December 5th, 2015) I received one of the best gifts that I have ever been given. It was a simple gift, and to some it may seem silly, but to me it’s far from that. It is a gift that I will cherish forever. A single stone, on a simple chain. To Connie though, it was much more. It was very special to her for some reason, and in doing what God told her to do, she took it off of her neck and passed it along to me. A complete stranger. Someone she had never even seen before, let alone met. Here is the back story, Connie and her husband (Ronnie) were out looking for scrap metal in our neighborhood for bulk pickup, they drove down our alley and my dad felt called to put some scrap out just shortly before for some reason, evidently known only to God. Upon seeing them pull up, he pointed out where he had laid what was out. My dad then came inside and got me, allowing me the opportunity to meet Connie for myself. As he walked out with more scrap, I was introduced to her, I heard a little of their stories. This is when she gave her gift to me and then we shared a warm embrace and I accepted her gift officially. I believe they know who God is, however, we all have our own battles and our own pain. Some of us choose to blame God, and some of us choose to lay our situations down before him. For them, Connie has a love for God, but due to something that happened to Ronnie’s son he had anger towards God. I don’t know much more about Connie and her husband, but I do know they are proud and loving people. We were able to pray with Connie and for Ronnie and give them an added blessing as well. So today, I ask for prayer. Not for me, but for Connie and her husband. I pray that they both have come to see who God is and the plan and purpose He has for them. I pray they have grown closer to Him since our encounter and understand He loves them more than anyone ever could. I had invited them to church, and pray I will have the opportunity to see them again some day. However, if I don’t see them again here on earth that’s okay, because I’ll be looking for them in Heaven one day. Either way, they will both forever be in my heart and in my prayers. Hopefully yours too. Thank you for reading. God Bless. In Christ Love, Tiasia Blaser. My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
