Today is a day for deals. Over the years people have gone out at all hours, the night before and early morning, trampling over each other, some have even died to get the next best tech, save a lot of money, or get some “thing” they have always wanted for next to nothing. I am going to get really “spiritual” on you all. When I think of Black Friday, I don’t think about what to get, I reflect on what was given on the day that Jesus was crucified, also known as Good Friday. I used to go after “the deals” so I could get a “thing” but I have come to the clear understanding that no earthly deal today will be taken into eternity as I am reminded of what is written in *Job 1:21…“Naked (without possessions) I came [into this world] from my mother’s womb, And naked I will return there.* As Christians, we are supposed to be living our lives trying to emulate Jesus Christ and the life He led, and I am deeply convicted as I read the words of the Lord written in *Matthew 8:20 And Jesus replied to him, Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have lodging places, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.* My desire is to give something to those that I love and care about that is priceless, my time, and more importantly the truth of the gospel of the Lord Jesus. I am remorseful when I read the words of Charles Spurgeon “You will never know the fullness of Christ until you know the emptiness of everything but Christ.” There are a few people that I have a profound relationship with and a strong bond who hold me accountable on a regular basis. You know who you are. I want to encourage you that if I get sidetracked or start to miss the mark, I give you permission to speak into my life. In the midst of the chaos of the season, please remember that Jesus is the reason. My Brethren, I pray that you understand that the most important part of life is not what you have or get, but what you give away, and the most important thing to give away is love, hope, joy, peace, and moments of yourself. I have no gimmicks, no tricks, no pressure, just the words of the Lord Jesus to those who don’t know Him, “Repent, and believe in the gospel.” And to those of you who Do know Him, may we all say with one accord, Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus. And as the day approaches to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Merry Christmas to all, and Blessings to your family’s! My BeLoved, may the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog

I am encouraged to see certain verses playing out before my eyes like what is written in *Philippians 4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.*
