What do you invest your time, energy, and resources into? The things of the world or the things of God? For many in the world, all they want is a little more, not realizing that since they are not content with what they have, they will never be truly happy in the Lord even if what they have now is doubled. There are people who by the world’s standards are successful, but are also unhappy and some, just plain miserable. The truth is they are unsuccessful as human beings in God’s eyes. My greatest fear is not that of failure, but of becoming the most successful man in the grave without achieving any heavenly purpose. One of the biggest drawbacks found in academia, financial independence, social status, or athletic success is that it can lead a person to hell without even realizing it. I have seen countless amounts of people corrupted by the desires of the world who have died in their sins and taken their children to hell with them because of their lifestyle. I have prayed fervently about what is written in *Matthew 6:19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.* Some of the most important investments a person can make has nothing to do with what people of the world expect. “Priority Investments” consist of time in the presence of God by reading His word, prayer, worship, having godly fellowship, working towards the goal of having a Christ-like character, and discovering and utilizing your spiritual gifts to share with the Body of Christ. Simply put, investing into the kingdom of God and not your earthly kingdom that will sooner or later suffer complete ruin. In your quest for financial gains, many of you have become one with the world. I “do” lose sleep at night, not because of the common things that cause sleepless nights, but because many of you who read these words, people I know, care about, and love, will perish, be destroyed forever, if you do not repent, surrender your lives to God and ask the Holy Spirit to use you how He sees fit and NOT have it your way. I pray that the Lord Jesus is glorified by all that I do and you as well my friends, praying for your endurance in the faith and your commitment to the Lord Jesus.
