Identifying your purpose, your mission in life, your reason for living, can be one of the most challenging tasks that you will ever undertake, and the sad thing is that for some, they will never find it because they are so caught up in this world to even think about the next. Recently I heard “The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day that you discover why”. According to some statistics approximately 151,600 people die every day, that comes down to 6,316 people die each hour,  105 people die each minute, nearly two people die each second, and I am pretty sure that many of those people never figured out why they were born. Until I came to know Jesus, read God’s word, was guided and filled with the Holy Spirit, I didn’t know why either. As I look at what is written in the scriptures, my PURPOSE becomes clear. At one point Jesus was told that His mother and brothers wanted to speak with Him. Jesus responded in  *Matthew 12:48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”* and we can also see PURPOSE written in *Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.* PURPOSE – to do the will of our Father in heaven, clear, simple, and to the point. I like what Charles Spurgeon said, “If you wish to know God, you must know his Word. If you wish to perceive His power, you must see how He works by his Word. If you wish to know His purpose before it comes to pass, you can only discover it by His Word.” Every believer has the same PURPOSE in this life, and after that we need to understand His will for ourselves as well. How do we find God’s will? Seek it through His word, prayer, and wisdom from His children. Simply Ask. May God help us fulfill His purpose in our lives as well as His will, before another important day impacts us, the day of our death, in Jesus name we pray, and all of God’s people say, Amen. I pray for all who read these words to discover His will for your life if you haven’t already. My BeLoved, may the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
