Weariness of the soul is not difficult to explain, but I will try anyway. This has been a challenging week for me, in all truth, a challenging season. I feel like I have been run through the wringer multiple times as well as beat against the rocks. I am disheartened and disappointed with so many things going on in my world. I have suffered difficult and unpleasant experiences, pain, hardship, and heartache. I know that I am not alone and that there are others that are going through so much worse than I am. There seems to be a widespread feeling that something is continually going wrong or about to. Uncertainty and a mind of confusion has come upon the masses. It seems that the promises of God are being forgotten even though the truth is that God is always at work in our lives. I am encouraged when I read what is written in *Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.* There is an unspoken agreement among those of us that struggle, that the fight is too hard for us to endure. We question, when shall we be able to withdraw from the warfare with at least some form of honor and dignity? The choice that we need to make is, how will we live, in spiritual power or the influence of society? A multitude of us have a similar problem, we withdraw from not only those who are willing to help in our time of need, but also from those who desire to help us as well. The vision of one’s own future that the populace have is a mirage that may never become a pool of water. Today, I am praying for all of those who are feeling battle weary and weak. You need to know that you are not alone. You may feel that you can’t go on another day, but if God woke you up today, He has a plan and a purpose for you and He will give you all you need to face what lies ahead. Please remember, when you come to the end of your strength and emotional reserves, God is there saying “What you can’t do, I can…when you are weak I am strong!” My Brethren, always remember that we are “Not” fighting for victory, we are fighting “From” victory, because of what the lord Jesus did upon the cross. He is the strength for our faith. My BeLoved, may the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas.
