Even though many in the United States would say that we are a Christian nation, according to Christianity Today: “nine out of ten Americans are “not” committed Christians” according to Biblical doctrine and beliefs or have agreement with a Biblical world view. Simply put, if you are a “committed Christian” the next 9 people you come across will most likely go to hell. There are certain words spoken by the Lord Jesus that need to be taken seriously and shared with the world around us before it is too late. It is written in *Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.* If hell is as bad as the bible says it is, no Christian should be silent and let someone go there without a fight, not even those who have come to hate God and maybe even some of us who know the truth and have the outward appearance of righteousness but inwardly are whitewashed tombs. I question myself quite often as to whether or not I am following the Lord Jesus as I should. There have been many dead saints that challenge me by the words they left behind, like what Charles Spurgeon said “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” I would rather someone be upset with me for telling them that Jesus loves them and sharing the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, how to get to heaven, than to have a peaceful relationship in silence and know that they will spend eternity in hell. There is a change happening to our world today leading many to believe that Jesus is coming back sooner than later. With that being said, I try to live my life in the way the Lord Jesus spoke in *Mark 12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment.* There are many days that I fail to achieve this, but on those days I thank God for His grace and mercy and try to focus even more on what is written in 1 Peter 1:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” There are going to be consequences for those of us who do not pursue holiness as a way of life. Obedience involves actively pursuing spiritual discipline, actively making choices that align with God’s will, and relying on the Holy Spirit for strength and endurance. Holiness is a process of being set apart for God’s purposes, and it transforms every area of life. I want to go to heaven and take as many people with me as I can. I am not trying to be an alarmist or a survivalist, I want to be a Revialist. Who else is with me in the battle and can say boldly, Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus? Please pray for me as I pray for all who read these words. My BeLoved, may the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.
