There are many people who believe that there is a God and no matter what they go through still do not want to serve Him. I remember the day that I got baptized, there were two others in my family who were baptized that same night and they ended up not wanting to follow and serve the Lord Jesus for the rest of their lives from that point, I guess the water didn’t stick. I realize that throughout my own Christian walk I have done things that the Bible says I shouldn’t and not done things that I believe God called me to do because of my own pride, selfish desires, and rebellious spirit. The Bible teaches that there is a day coming, I believe very soon, when every person will stand before God and be judged. It is written in *Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME [you are banished from My presence], YOU WHO ACT WICKEDLY [disregarding My commands].’* There are two types of sins that are common to mankind, the sin of commission, doing what we are called not to do, and the sin of omission, not doing what God has called us “to do.” I believe that I am more guilty of the latter. How horrible it will be for those who think they are going to make it and don’t. Those that live an “Almost” Christian life and “Almost” make it to heaven. The only thing that is going to get someone to heaven is who they know, and that person MUST be the Lord Jesus Christ. It is written in *John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.* Works will not save anyone. Not prophecies, casting out demons, miracles, baptism, none of these are a means of salvation. Jesus spoke and said that many will be told to, Depart from Him, and be banished from His presence. How horrible. If any who read this do not know Jesus as Lord, please contact me, I would love to introduce you to the Savior of the world. If you do know Him, I pray that God gives you boldness by the Holy Spirit to do the will of our Father who is in heaven and share the Good News with everyone who comes across your path. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name We pray, and all of God’s people said, Amen. My BeLoved, may the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
