I have been asked why I share all that I do, the good and more so the bad. My answer is simple because I am a simple man, to give all who read what I write some clarity. I do not write what I do to please people, but believe that I am led by the Holy Spirit to share what He lays on my heart. I talk a lot about sin and repentance because it seems as though there are few others that do these days. As a pastor, I am more concerned about a person’s soul than I am their comfort in their sin. It is not my opinion or feelings that matter, but having clarity from the word of God, my document of authority, as to what is right and what is wrong, and yet without reading the word many are confused as to what is almost right. Many times people attempt to twist the scriptures to make them a little gray instead of leaving them black and white. God is not an author of confusion. My prayer is that through what I write that unbelievers will be led to Jesus and believers will repent and be drawn closer to Him. Ultimately to reach the lost and broken of the world and train disciples to glorify God in what they go through. Throughout my life there have been different things that I have been driven to attain, money, knowledge, relationships, pleasure, and in turn I put to the wayside the things of real importance, family, love of genuine friends, purpose, peace, and courage to face the day. So much of my life has been wasted on things with no eternal value. What has made the most impact in my life is coming to the understanding that time is a limited resource; once it is spent, it’s gone forever. We can’t ever get time back, but we can be intentional with the time that we have left. I have come to love what is written in *Psalms 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.* I thank God for giving me the spiritual gifts and physical ability to be able to minister to the world around me the way that He has. I read a quote that has helped my perspective in living, “Instead of trying to give your children everything you never had, try teaching them everything you never learned and should have.” Because of the support of my brothers and sisters in Christ, I am able to help the children of God to do just that. I realize that many people read what I write and I never hear about how they have been affected, or more importantly convicted, and that is okay. Then there are those who are blessed and find a way to bless me as well. For some, they may not have a lot to give, but one thing that I have come to value more than money is the encouragement and prayers, for those are more priceless than any amount of financial gain. Recently I have been hearing a still small voice saying, “Go where you grow and let them know.” I would like to thank all those who have encouraged me, prayed for my family and I, your involvement in my life is priceless and has helped me grow. You are truly valued beyond measure. Closing encouragement, even though my life is full of trials and tribulations beyond measure, the season I am in now is the best I have experienced because I have seen fruit from my labor. My BeLoved, may the grace of the Lord Jesus, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog

Special Note: I want to thank those who read what I write and are encouraged to give either one time or have decided to give on a monthly basis in support of the different ministries God has entrusted to me. I am encouraged to see certain verses playing out before my eyes like what is written in *Philippians 4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.*
