I would like to “Clarify” something, I have “never” condemned anyone to hell. One thing that I have tried to faithfully do is share the truth of God’s word as to certain situations and the sins associated with them. The Bible teaches clearly in *Matthew 7:22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’* Every person will be judged by God and the Bible teaches in *Romans 3:10 As it is written, None is righteous, just and truthful and upright and conscientious, no, not one.* and in *Romans 3:23 since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God* and yet, how many people think that their own sin is so much less than everyone else’s and they will be granted a free pass to heaven because they are not as bad as the next guy. This reminds me of a quote by Charles Spurgeon, “If there be a man before me who says that the wrath of God is too heavy a punishment for his little sin, I ask him, if the sin be little, why does he not give it up?” It amazes me when people are happy and cheer when men like Hugo Chávez, Muammar Gaddafi, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, and so many others that did horrible things die? They do not comprehend what is written in *Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back (change your way of thinking), turn back [in repentance] from your evil ways!…* When a famous person, sports figure, movie star, or musician who “never” lived in the light of God’s word or glorified Him in any way die, do they get a special treatment because they spoke good words, did great physical feats, acted well, or sang a song that touched someone’s life? Here is a radical truth, No they don’t. Christians, genuine believers, should experience sadness, mourning, and deep sorrow at the time of the death of someone who touched their life, in a good way or a bad way who was an unbeliever, but not because of the first death, but because of the probability of the second. There are some people that I have known in my life that I am confident that I “Will” see again in heaven, and others that I am not sure of, and many that I most likely never will because they will go to hell. There’s a saying, Born once, die twice. Born twice, die once. Simple question, if you believe that Heaven and Hell are real, where do you want to go? Where do you want those that you care about to go? And more so, where do you want your worst enemies to go? How much do you have to hate someone to not tell them about the Lord Jesus? I am going to say something that has brought about some discourse, it is better to believe that heaven is real and live a life that glorifies God and at the end of your life, find out that there is not a heaven, than to live your life thinking that there isn’t a heaven and find out that there is, and end up in hell. The choice is simple, the choice is yours, choose life, choose heaven, choose Jesus, and may we pray that those we believe to be lost, reach out to the Lord Jesus and desire to live forever with Him as well, because of our activity and availability in their lives. May we as followers of the Lord Jesus live in such a way that those who know us, but don’t know Jesus, desire to know Jesus because they know us. Amen. In Christ Love, douglas. HE>i. pastord.blog
