As we become genuine Christian’s, there are many things about us that become evidence of our transformation. Our love for Jesus grows, our devotion deepens, we desire holiness, and we desire to have boldness in the face of fear and opposition. As the early church was threatened, they asked a simple request that I believe the modern day church should be asking for as well with all genuineness. It is written in *Acts 4:29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word…* And after they prayed this, God answered their prayers. It is written in *Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.* My prayer is to have that boldness and that is why I pray “O Lord God, shake our lives, help Your children to speak the word of God with boldness in these troubling and confusing times. Teach us how to live victorious lives through the empowering love and strength of Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You break the strongholds of fear and the chains that bind us up, that keep us from experiencing the love, joy, and peace that You desire for Your children to have. Give us wisdom and discernment on who to love and how to love them. Help us to evangelize to the lost and help awaken the saved to live empowered lives by the work of Your hand and the power of the Holy Spirit. May we make a difference for the kingdom of God by discipling, teaching, and training believers how to be in Your Word, how to pray, and how to walk with Jesus every day, as His disciples. May love be not just a word we say, but an action that is seen by those hurting and struggling in this lost and perishing world. Lord, please clear our minds of the past that has caused fear and bring to our thoughts Your words of love, grace and mercy. Help us to not lose focus on the present because it is a gift from You. In the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we pray, and all of the saints say, Amen.” In Christ Love, douglas.
