Yesterday was a hard day for some people, depression and loneliness took over, thoughts and feelings got overwhelming because of what they have or don’t have in their lives. In my own life, there have been times when the thoughts have been so bad that all I wanted was for them to stop. There have been times when I have allowed the enemy to convince me that I am alone because of how tough life gets, and then I realize that God is only a prayer away. I realize that I am not alone and there have been many people throughout scripture that have battled depression and loneliness like I have. David, Elijah, Jeremiah, and even the Lord Jesus in a way, they all suffered with uncertainty and anguish over things that they were going through or about to go through. Sometimes I get tunnel vision in my circumstances and forget the scriptures that give us clear understanding of God’s purpose for our trouble. Whenever I get lost in my situations I pray over what is written in *Romans 8:28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.* For any that are reading this that are facing a battle and are not sure how to deal with it, trust in God for He is Sovereign, look to the scriptures for His peace, look to the family of God to help you. I have heard it said that “Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem”. For those struggling and are not sure how you can go on, I want you to know that there is help available, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 to receive some support. Also know that you are not alone, that Jesus loves you and so do people that you may have not even met yet, including me. We all have had a 100% success rate of getting through all that we have gotten through to this point. We have all made it to Yesterday’s Tomorrow, for that is today. My favorite phrase in the Bible is, “It came to pass” because everything that we are going through “will” come to pass. Many spend our days worrying about things that will never happen. I know deep down what it is like to not feel loved, but I also know the love of the Savior and the peace found there. May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus be with you all my BeLoved. In Christ, douglas.
