Certain things happened in this election, good from some people’s perspective and some horribly bad from others. The enemy is constantly working at dividing our nation in half over one thing or another. As we look at the numbers of those who voted, it is easy to see where a majority of people stand on important issues. Believe it or not there are many Americans celebrating today, and to me this is heartbreaking over one specific issue. They are rejoicing that they have the legal “right” to kill babies in the womb, pre-born humans, and the Bible explains that this is so wrong, not only in the eyes of Christians but more importantly in the eyes of God. The world as we know it is changing as people are believing the lies of the media and those who want to depopulate the planet thinking that the taking of a life is women’s health care. I believe that God is in control and that is why I fear the judgment that is to come. Frederick Douglas said, “Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them.” I have been told that “God does not care about America, anymore than He cares for China or Canada.” And that “We are not special”. I believe that God does care about not only the U.S. but for the entire world for that is why He sent His Son to die for our sins. I also believe that as we look to the scriptures we can see times when God held back what He said would happen because of prayer so that is why I believe that Christians need to take action and stand up and pray for change in the course of our nation in regards to the sanctity of human life. It is written in *2 Samuel 24:25 David built an altar to the Lord there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was moved [to compassion] by [David’s] prayer for the land, and the plague was held back from Israel.* We must humble ourselves as a nation, submit to God’s word, and pray fervently for those who are in positions of authority to submit to God and save our nation from internal destruction. Ruth Graham said to her husband Billy, “If God doesn’t come soon and bring judgment upon the United States, He’s going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!” Our world is in crisis, we must pray for repentance. Closing thought, for those that have read the end of the Bible, none of this should be a surprise, and if you haven’t, today is as good of a day as any to start. Maranatha, Come quickly Lord Jesus.
