There are questions that we are confronted with in our Christian walk that for certain individuals are part of a daily battle. Some contemplate them to the core of who they are, and others just don’t care about what is being asked. Questions that have eternal consequences. Who or what are you bowing down to? Who do you belong to? Who do you serve? We are living in probably the most worship diverse generations ever. People are worshiping whatever feels good to them and not caring about the consequences that are going to follow. As I evaluate my own life, I pray over what is written in *Joshua 24:15 If it is unacceptable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”* We can be so busy building our own kingdoms, living a life of powerless religion, and worshiping worthless idols that come from the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life that we forget “Whom” we are called to serve. God is calling out His children to be holy as He is holy, and also to be wholly devoted to Him in all that they do. Today is the day to make the stand for God if you have not done it before. Who is willing to stop living for the world, looking like the world, being a person of worldly desires, and stand with me and say, As for ME and my house, we will serve the Lord Jesus Christ?
