Hello, I want to thank all of you who have stood faithfully beside my family in prayer as we have sought God’s guidance for many things over the years. We have coveted your love, concern, and support. Recently, we stepped out in faith in pursuit of a more comfortable home for my family to live. At this time, it does not look like we will be able to acquire the house that we feel would be a good fit for us due to not having the substantial down payment required. I do not know why God would have led us to step out in faith like we have, but one thing we believe is that God is not done yet, we are still seeking the purpose in the path we believe that He has led us down. A few days back, as I felt like I was being painfully tested, (well that is practically every day), I put a question out on FaceBook and received many answers that encouraged me to endure. The question was, “What Bible verses do you look to when you are struggling to make it through the day?” There were many of my friends that had verses in common, trustworthy passages for peace and security, like Psalm 23, Romans 8:28+31, Philippians 4:13, John 14:27, Psalm 46:10, Joshua 1:9, Genesis 1:1, James 1 (entire chapter), Matthew 11:30, and a few more. After reading over those verses, I was reminded of one of my own go to scriptures found in *Proverbs 3:5 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].* The house is officially on the market today, and I’m not sure if it is a good idea or not but we are planning on walking across the street this morning as a family, at 9am, to take a look inside the house, pray together, and ask for God’s wisdom and discernment in how to move forward. After we look at the inside we will lay a foundation of prayer for whatever family moves in, whether it is my family or someone else’s. I have heard it said, “God will never take something away from you without the intention of replacing it with something much better!” I do not really believe that, but one thing I do believe is that if I submit my will to God’s will and follow after His will with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength, then I will have my will. Following my will, my desires, usually starts off easy but always gets difficult, whereas being obedient and seeking God’s will may start off difficult in the beginning, but it always seems to get easier the quicker I learn to follow His leading. Ultimately, my greatest peace and joy comes from choosing to align my will with God’s will and to seek to do His Will always, one day at a time. I am confident that He is not done yet. Please continue to pray alongside my family for God’s will for us my Beloved. pastord.blog
