I have come to understand that most people who have the opportunity to read what I write never will, and that’s ok. I do want to thank all of you who do take the time to read what I write and pray for my family on a regular basis, and right now we covet your prayers more than ever. Some of you may know that we believe that God has provided for our family’s needs over the past few years in a very unconventional way, junk. It started out in picking up stuff from bulk trash, fixing what I could and selling it, or taking whatever metal there was to recycle, and disposing of the rest. The best part of it for me is that I have been blessed to have a continual interaction with my grandchildren who live in my home and teach them how to fix stuff. Another good part of it is that we have been able to help others remove items from their lives that they no longer want, sort of a win-win. We have considered ourselves collectors with a purpose. Recently we have let our lifestyle get a little out of control and because of that we have received some challenging news, due to unforeseen events we need God’s intercession and also will need Him to provide for our family in a different way. The next few days and months are going to be very challenging to say the least, and most likely mentally and physically exhausting for me, unless we receive a miracle. I try to live out what is written in *James 1:2 Consider it nothing but joy, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. 3 Be assured and understand that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance, steadfastness and patience [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. 4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [in your faith] lacking in nothing [with no defects].* I am thankful that God has gifted me with the ability to fix stuff, and more so the people that He has surrounded my family with to support us in the various ways that they do and most importantly in prayer. I am thankful that I have been able to see the miracles of God with Him providing in ways we would have never expected. My family seems to continue to go from one challenge to the next without much rest, but one thing is for sure, God has given us peace in the chaos. My friends, I want to thank you all for your continual prayers and support, and give glory to God for Him being our provider, our JEHOVAH JIREH.
